Privacy Policy — Slide Tabs
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Short version: Slide Tabs collects nothing. No analytics,
no tracking, no accounts, no external servers. Nothing ever leaves your
browser.
What Slide Tabs does
Slide Tabs is a Chrome extension that shows your open tabs in an auto-hiding sidebar overlay. All functionality runs entirely inside your browser.
Data collection
Slide Tabs does not:
- collect, store, or transmit any personal information
- use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
- make network requests to any external server
- use cookies or any form of tracking
- sell or share any data with third parties (there is no data to sell)
How permissions are used
-
tabs— reads the titles, URLs, and audio state of your open tabs solely to display them in the sidebar, and to switch, close, pin, mute, or reorder tabs when you click. This information is held in memory only and never recorded or transmitted. -
favicon— displays each site’s icon in the sidebar using Chrome’s built-in favicon cache. -
Host access (
<all_urls>) — injects the sidebar overlay UI into the pages you visit so it is available everywhere. The extension does not read or alter page content.
Data storage
Slide Tabs stores no data. It has no database, no sync, and no local storage of browsing information. Closing your browser leaves no trace of the extension’s activity.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever changes how data is handled (for example, adding locally stored preferences), this page will be updated before that version is published, and the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing will reflect it.
